Worship Service

Our Sunday morning worship service begins at 10:30 am and normally runs until approx 11:45 am.

Our service offers a God-focused balance of worship songs, Scripture reading, congregational prayer , and a message that brings biblical truth alive in a life-giving way. Jesus is the center of our service. Usually PowerPoint presentations accompany each of these service components.

More information (particularly for new comers) can be found here

The Lord’s Table

We usually celebrate the Lord’s Table on the last Sunday of each month during the morning worship service.

House of Prayer

Prayer, which includes worship and intercession, both corporate and individual, is a sincerely held value at Bethel.

Jesus declared, “You shall be called a house of prayer” (see Matt. 21:13).  He was quoting Isaiah’s prophecy to Israel:  “My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations” (Is. 56:7).

Isaiah’s prophecy and Jesus’ statement tell us that God’s people are to function as a house of prayer.  Our greatest place of authority, honour and dignity is found in prayer—that is, in our deep interaction and partnership with God.

We do this in several ways:

• The Last Sunday evening of each month is set aside for Fellowship and Prayer.  It starts with a light meal (5:00 pm) for church families and progresses into an extended time of prayer and intercession.

Prayer Room – a room designated for prayer gatherings that are scheduled at various times weekly and monthly.

All functions where committees and groups meet are times where prayer is an important component as well.

Individual practice of prayer on a personal basis is encouraged.  A prayer list of all members and adherents is published for each day of the month.  Another list of all the missionaries we support is also published.
